DynamicDNS (DDNS) Project
If you have a dynamic IP, this application will crawl to your domain provider and automatically update domain forwarding to any changed ip(detected automatically). This allows you to automatically keep your domain name pointed to the proper IP.

This project came about when I was perusing the "free" Dynamic DNS providers and discovered that to really use them you have to pay a service fee. Also, I realized that they are really doing no more than what I could do fairly easily in a little application.

This application will work "out of the box" if you have a domain with www.GoDaddy.com. Just change the UserID/password and domain in the options and you're set to go. Otherwise, for another provider, you'll need to script out the URL and pages in script.txt (should not be hard). Just do a dry run and browse to your provider and find domain forwarding and make note of what you need to do to change the IP. Then just script it in a similar way to how it's already done.

Probably the easiest way to run it is to load it up in the Windows Scheduler to run whenever the computer starts. Alternatively, you could run it as a service with SRVANY.

All source code is included for easy modification.

This has some good VFP examples including: Systray Control, Timer Control, and VFP web crawling.
